Barco announces Charles Beauduin as chairman and An Steegen as CEO
Barco has announced that Charles Beauduin, who assumed the rule of Co-CEO alongside An Steegen since 2021, has now become chairman of the board while Steegen will continue her role of CEO. Beauduin will take over from Frank Donck who will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as independent director.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Charles for his commitment and leadership as Co-CEO of Barco in the last three years,” said Donck. “We are delighted to be able to continue to count on his vast experience in international business and in technology companies as he assumes the role of chairman.”
As Co-CEO's, both Steegen and Beauduin have redesigned the manufacturer's organisational structure, including the focused factories strategy which, according to Barco, has strengthened its upstream value stream, as well as expanded the company’s manufacturing footprint with dedicated factories.
Beauduin noted: “With gratitude I am looking back on the past years as Co-CEO of Barco, in tandem with Co-CEO An Steegen. Now, my dedication to Barco continues in a different role, in which I will further focus on value creation for the company. As chairman, together with the other board members, I am looking forward to continuing working with An Steegen and the Barco teams and to transforming Barco further into a customer-focused and innovation-driven company.”
Steegen concluded: “I am thankful for the excellent collaboration with Charles in our shared role as Co-CEO. We were able to set out the strategy together and we will continue to do so also in his new role as chairman. We are more dedicated than ever to lead our visualisation and collaboration markets, offering innovative solutions and products to all our customers.”
