Redesigned yellobriks switch up the game

LYNX Technik has redesigned three of its yellobrik Ethernet-to-fibre transceivers and has built in several feature enhancements. The OET 1514 is a compact three-port Ethernet switch and the OET 1544 is a CWDM-compatible three-port Ethernet switch. Both are designed to extend the reach of electrical Ethernet signals over long distances using a constant (fixed) high speed 1Gbps optical transceiver speed. The OBD 1514 E is a matched pair of compact Ethernet switches which are linked via a single bidirectional fibre link which operates at a constant 1Gbps speed. The company says these yellobriks provide various connectivity solutions where cabling may be challenging, or where long-distance signal distribution is required.
