Pushing products to the four

Italian lighting specialist Claypaky is unveiling four products at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, with the Volero Cube taking centre stage. Described by the company as a “four-in-one fusion fixture”, the Volero Cube is a compact IP66-rated fixture which merges beam, wash and strobe effects with its four 60W RGBW LEDs and plus-shaped LED strips. Multiple single units can be connected together to deliver more creative geometric solutions. Claypaky says it is the first of a new series of compact, powerful and versatile moving head products.

The Orkis Cyc is a wall-washing cyclorama light that has been designed around multispectral six-colour HCR LED technology to deliver a wide selection of colours and dimming capabilities. With amber, cyan and lime added to the standard RGB colours, it ensures accurate colour reproduction and flexibility in lighting setups, including tuneable white light from 2,500–8,000K. Weighing less than 6kg, it is adaptable for both floor and truss mounting, while its Active Liquid Cooling System reduces noise levels up to 24.2dB in standard mode. Claypaky believes the Orkis Cyc is the world’s first fixture in the entertainment lighting sector with this technology.

Inheriting the core strengths of its predecessors and adding the pixel-to-pixel control of each LED, the Mini-B Aqua PX is the newest member of the Mini-B family. Claypaky describes the mini-washlight as delivering a mix of “flexibility, lightweight design and lightning-fast pan/tilt movements”.

Finally, the Panify 2 is a motorised platform with endless PAN operation and a variety of speeds that can handle fixtures up to 30kg. Its IP66 rating means it can be used and hung in any position, and any location, both indoors and outdoors. Its ability to accept most static lights – not only from Claypaky’s portfolio but also from other brands – is said to make it a flexible and inclusive solution for lighting designers.
