South Africa:

South Africa’s Impact Community Church recently embarked on an audio system upgrade following a damaging lightning spike. Purchased through MGG Productions, one of Audiosure’s dealers, the church acquired a pair of Martin Audio Blackline XP15s and an Allen & Heath AR2412.

With a goal of enhancing its existing Allen & Heath QU24 console, the church hopes the system will ensure a more robust and dynamic experience for its members. The AR2412 was selected due to Garth Langeveld, lead pastor at Impact Community Church, wanting to expand the band’s capabilities, eager to move from stage wedges to in-ear monitors. The Martin XP15s are also said to have made it easier for the band members in the sense that they no longer need to have an amp rack on stage, with the result being a cleaner stage space.

As well as an audio upgrade, Impact Community Church is also undergoing improvements to its power system, preventing electrical surges in the future. With this initiative ensuring the longevity and reliability of both the sound and lighting systems, Langeveld is confident that the church will be well-equipped to deliver “exceptional” AV experiences going forwards.
