NHD-120 series encoders bring 4K to Wyrestorm’s NetworkHD 100 series

Wyrestorm has unveiled the NHD-120 series encoder and decoder, an H.264/H.265 based system capable of encoding and decoding 4K30 4:2:0 over 1Gbps Ethernet networks. The NHD-120-TX and RX, respectively, are the AV encoder and decoder for the manufacturer’s 100 series of NetworkHD AV over IP components.

Updated to now support 4K video signals at 30Hz, the 120 series are backwards compatible with the original NHD-110s at 1080p. With H.265 at 4K resolution, video transmissions not only look better than ever and use up to 6x less bandwidth. A huge leap from the original 1080p NHD-110 models.

The 120 series also adds screen rotation and mosaic video wall capability. In addition to the ability of processing up to a 15x15 video wall, uses can design video walls using the NetworkHD CTL-PRO web configurator.
