RCF gets active with its NXW 44-A column

The NXW 44-A is an active two-way column speaker by RCF designed for a range of users, from bands to DJs, clubs and rental companies. Its combination of RCF transducers and a 2,100W two-channel Class-D amp produces coherent 100° x 50° coverage for the listening area up to 135dB SPL.

The two-way design features three 10-inch neodymium woofers and a 3-inch driver on a constant directivity horn, which RCF claims delivers accurate sound to the coverage area without tilting the enclosure. It can deliver an extended frequency range down to 45Hz and can be used as a standalone speaker and flown, although RCF recommends pairing the speaker with a sub for medium-sized concerts and DJ systems.

RCF has also introduced its BT Board DMA which can be paired with a DMA amplifier to provide Bluetooth connectivity on a mobile device. This makes is possible not only to send audio from a mobile device to the amplifier, but also control levels and EQ via an Android or iOS app.
