N&M brings automated suspension point monitoring to the web

Neumann&Müller has developed Loadwatch, an automated system for checking and monitoring load-bearing suspension points to provide greater load distribution safety to companies in the events sector. The planning and implementation of suspension points are mainly reliant on calculatory and empirical values to assess load-bearing capacity and the distribution of loads to the overall structure. Loadwatch is designed to monitor multiple suspension points in parallel in a cost-effective manner.

Visual feedback based on a traffic light system is given by LEDs on the device itself. Meanwhile, information for assigning parameters to the individual load cells is transmitted digitally and wirelessly via an IoT (Internet of Things) interface to a centralised web server, where the data can be analysed. This information is accessible over multiple communication interfaces, such as a cloud-based web application. The loads can be monitored by N&M in its role of technical services provider, as well as by booth builders and exhibitors to check whether load distributions agreed in the planning phase are still appropriate.
