Riedel promotes Glättli to director of R&D
Promising a new era of technology innovation, Riedel Communications has promoted Peter Glättli to director of research and development. Reporting to founder and CEO Thomas Riedel, Glättli will assume responsibility for the company’s five main development hubs to advance its IP-enabled hardware and software solutions.
“Ongoing research and development are absolutely crucial for us to build and secure our company’s future, and this vital function is in great hands with Peter,” said Riedel, “He will apply his deep experience and expertise in the development of audio and video solutions to help keep Riedel on the cutting edge of innovation in our various markets. He will now lead a significant concentration of engineering talent with a singular focus on creating the hardware and software solutions to drive future broadcast, event, and AV workflows.”
Glättli has spent two years as head of R&D at Riedel’s Zurich location, leading teams in Switzerland and Germany to develop audio engine technologies. Prior to that, Glättli had been head of development for Studer/Harman International where he was responsible for development of the Studer and Soundcraft product lines. He holds a diploma in electrical engineering and information technology from ETH Zurich University.
