Yosuke Matsuno has been appointed general manager of the TASCAM Business Unit at the TEAC Corporation, assuming responsibility for running the entire TASCAM business unit including sales, marketing and R&D administration.

Matsuno has worked for 12 years at TEAC, starting his career as a customer support engineer in 2008 before becoming imported brands manager in 2012 and then export sales manager in 2014. In 2017 he was promoted to head of TASCAM’s sales headquarters.

“It is such an honour for me to lead the TASCAM business unit,” he commented. “I still remember 20 years ago when I picked up a TASCAM product for the very first time at a store in Tokyo. With the excellent product quality and user-friendly interface, it allowed me to really enjoy making music; now, standing on the manufacturing side, such wonderful moments are the ones I always want to deliver to our customers.

“Pro audio customers always demand high-quality and reliable products which make their jobs easier. TASCAM’s strength lies in our R&D team based in Japan, and the product technology and know-how that has been trusted by loyal customers for many decades. Our core technologies have been adapted and developed for a half century, which I believe nobody can else can beat. Besides Japan, we also have sales and marketing members in the US, Europe and China, and I am very pleased to have such a talented team. My mission is to lift up TASCAM business to the next level and I feel very confident in seeing a strong growth in the future.”
