AJA has announced several new products and updates on the IBC show floor

Aiming to simplify broadcast, production, post, streaming and pro AV workflows in HDR, UltraHD and IP, AJA has announced several new products and updates on the IBC show floor. Newly unveiled are 12G versions of the HDR Image Analyzer and KUMO 3232 router, Corvid 44 12G high-density I/O cards for developers, an FS-Mini frame synchroniser Mini-Converter and three additional openGear compatible converter cards. In addition, users can benefit from new software and firmware updates that are designed to improve and enhance the Desktop I/O line, Mini-Converters and FS4 frame synchronisers/converters.

Developed in partnership with Colorfront, the HDR Image Analyzer 12G is a 1U real-time HDR monitoring and analysis solution featuring high bandwidth 12G-SDI connectivity. It aims to enhance monitoring and analysis of HDR formats in production and post, including Perceptual Quantizer and Hybrid Log Gamma.

The KUMO 6464-12G includes 64 12G-SDI inputs and 64 12G-SDI outputs for signal routing with increased 12G-SDI bandwidth connectivity. Ganged dual and quad-port routing configuration options allow users to combine multiple inputs and outputs for resolution support up to 8K.

The Corvid 44 12G PCIe 3.0 video and audio I/O cards feature 12G-SDI for 8K/UltraHD2/4K/UltraHD high frame rate, deep colour and HDR workflows. Available in 10 models including passive or active cooling variants, the high-density HD-BNC connector models are available in low-profile or full-height form factors, while the Corvid 44 12G BNC models include full-size BNC connectors.

Providing broadcast-quality utility frame synchronisation in a portable form factor, the FS-Mini Converter synchronises and converts a wide range of video formats to a house standard with a 3G-SDI input and output, simultaneous HDMI output and a two-channel RCA style audio output.

The US manufacturer has also developed new OpenGear OG-FS-Mini, OG-ROI-DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI cards. The OG-FS-Mini combines the functionality of the FS-Mini-Converter with the openGear architecture, while the OG-ROI-DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI support DVI or HDMI to SDI region of interest scaling, scan conversion and image rotation in the openGear format. A host of free firmware and software updates enhance and improve the Hi5-4K-Plus, Hi5-12G and IPR Mini-Converters among others.
