Chauvet lights the way for Gentse Feesten

For the 176th Gentse Feesten in Ghent, Chauvet Professional supplied lighting fixtures for over 15 stages and venues across the city. These included the Maverick MK1 Spot, Maverick Storm 1 Wash, Maverick MK1 Spot, Rogue R3 Wash, Rogue R2 Wash, the COLORado Solo Batten and over 200 COLORdash Par H12IP fixtures.

During this ten-day event, normal rules in Ghent were thrown out of window. The annual music and theatre event reportedly drew in over a million people to the famous Saint Bavo’s cathedral, renowned for its beautiful gothic architecture. For the duration of the festival, the public could climb its steps, which are off limits during the rest of the year. This area was one of the fifteen spots where many Gentse Feesten’s events took place. Several COLORado Panel Q40s were used onstage, as well as Maverick MK1 Hybrid fixtures, along with STRIKE 1 and STRIKE P38s. These were all controlled by a ChamSys MagicQ MQ500 stadium console.

Many other sites in Ghent were used including the Trepunt Stage, which was fixed with 10 Rogue R3 Washes and 12 Rogue R2 Wash fixtures. An Amhaze Stadium haze machine was also used at this stage, which was supplied by John & Jane. Meanwhile, the acts on the Mardi Gras stage were able to take advantage of Rogue R2 wash, Rogue R1 Spot and the Rogue PH1 hybrid fixtures. Rogue R1 FX-B fixtures were also used at Korenmarkt, alongside the COLORdash Par-Hex 12IP.

Other related events took place at the likes of Polé Polé where Immortal Impact Events and PRG used 50 COLORdash Par Quad 12 and 70 Colordash Par H12 IP fixtures to light the venue. While MiraMiro, a circus and theatre venue, were supplied with a COLORdash Par H12 IP by BSL.
