St Mary assumes new audio system
Sound Designs has installed a Community E Series sound system at the St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Hockessin, Delaware. The church was looking to improve the quality of its vocal audio and hired Sound Designs to install the new sound system after auditioning several systems integrators.
This system comprises two column arrays, each with two ENT-FR speakers and two VLF208 dual 8-inch subwoofers. There are also two ENT206 loudspeakers for the pews at the front and two ENT212 loudspeakers in the side seating areas. An additional two ENT203 speakers are used for monitoring.
‘With a high, beamed ceiling and reflective surfaces we needed a system that would provide excellent pattern control and aesthetically merge with the architecture,’ commented John Dezell from Sound Designs. ‘We consulted with Community’s technical applications team and decided that slim column line source loudspeakers provided the best solution. The sound quality and coverage of the E series loudspeakers were outstanding and we were subsequently awarded the contract.’
