The Way to Salvation and a new sound system

Located in Kent, Washington, Way to Salvation Church’s new 2,000-seat sanctuary has been equipped with a dBTechnologies Vio audio system, designed and installed by Seattle-based Hi-Tech Sound & Lighting. Hi-Tech owner Vasyl Mulyarchuk demonstrated Vio early in the church's planning process for its sanctuary that serves the Slavic community in the Seattle and Tacoma area.

The system comprises left, right and centre hangs, each formed from six dBTechnologies Vio L210 line array speakers. Three DVA S10 DP subwoofers provide low-frequency support and a pair of Ingenia IG2Ts deliver side-fill at stage left and right. Six DVX DM12 TH enclosures serve as monitors, four of which are ceiling-mounted for the choir. Five LVX 10 loudspeakers cover the balcony and four LVX 8 units provide under-balcony-fill. Additional LVX 8 loudspeakers are installed in the hallways and entrance to the church.

The entire speaker setup is self-powered and Mulyarchuk used dBTechnologies’ RDNet software for system set up, commissioning and operational control. Hi-Tech also provided the sound systems installed throughout the rest of the church, including its classrooms and meeting rooms.

Mulyarchuk explained that the Vio system provides even coverage throughout the church, with excellent voice intelligibility and great sound quality for the church’s music service and choir. ‘Everyone loves the system,’ he said.
