EAW hires John Mills

World:

John Mills has joined Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) as a senior applications engineer. Known for his work as an FOH engineer for Christian artists Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster, Shane and Shane and Paul Baloche, and as a systems engineer for country music superstar Kenny Chesney, Mr Mills has 25 years of pro audio experience, most recently working for Nashville's Morris Light & Sound as vice president.

Mr Mills has mixed at FOH at almost every major arena and stadium in the USA and Canada. In addition to his live work, Mr Mills has also commissioned and tuned more than 100 sound installations at houses of worship and other venues.

‘We couldn't be more excited to have John as part of our team,’ said Jeremy Forsythe, EAW’s director of product management. ‘His experience and reputation speak for themselves but his personality and ability to form connections based on trust and respect is what stands out. EAW was built on relationships and a commitment to solving real-world problems, and John perfectly embodies that spirit.’

Mr Mills is equally delighted to be joining EAW. ‘EAW has been at the forefront of loudspeaker design for more than 40 years, and now the company is taking another leap forward with innovative, forward-looking solutions,’ he commented. ‘They've put together a great engineering team under Geoff McKinnon, Kenton Forsythe has returned and the future looks bright. It's a great time for me to bring my experience and skills to EAW.’
