Audiocenter has added an active DSP controlled line array to its arsenal with the release of the K-LA212-DSP. Designed for fixed installations in mid-sized venues such as exhibition or concert halls, the K-LA212-DSP is also suited to medium-sized touring applications.
The manufacturer states that K-LA212-DSP is optimised for a minimum of three cabinets and a maximum of up to 16. Each unit incorporates a pair of 12-inch (3-inch voice coil) customised Beyma LF drivers and two 2.84-inch composite membrane customised HF drivers. A constant directivity horn making use of Audiocenter’s Dual Phase design is said to ensure even coverage and accurate directivity with 90° horizontal coverage, 60° horizontal for long throw and 12° vertical coverage.
A tri-amplified Class-D 1,600W Pascal amplifier powers the two-way crossover design of the speaker, which has an operating frequency range of 55Hz to 20kHz. K-LA212-DSP offers built-in DSP of 96kHz signal sampling frequency and a four-way rigging point.
Accompanying the line array loudspeaker is the K-LA218-DSP bass reflex design subwoofer. Designed to support the K-LA212-DSP for larger system configuration, it has an operating frequency range between 32Hz and 150Hz with built in DSP of 96kHz signal sampling frequency.
